Privacy Policy
Student privacy is a first principle at SCALE, not an afterthought. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have.
Last updated: 30 July 2026
What we collect
To run your study experience, we collect the minimum needed:
- Account: your name, phone number or email, and the exam you're preparing for.
- Content: the posts, notes and answers you create and choose to share.
- Activity: practice attempts, scores, streaks and progress — to show you how you're improving.
- Device: basic device and app version information, to keep SCALE working and secure.
Why we collect it
We use your data only to provide and improve SCALE: to connect you with communities and study partners, score your mocks, track your progress, keep the service secure, and respond to your support requests.
How we share
We never sell your data. We share only the minimum necessary with trusted service providers (for example, hosting and analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict agreements, and only when required by law. Communities and groups you join see what you choose to share within them.
How we protect your data
- Your connection to SCALE is always encrypted in transit.
- Access to personal data is tightly restricted within our team.
- We keep what we collect only as long as it's needed, then delete it.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time from within the app or by contacting us. You can also control what your communities, groups and institutions can see about you.
Children
SCALE is intended for students in secondary school and above. We don't knowingly collect data from children below the age permitted for our services. If you believe a child is using SCALE improperly, please contact us.
